Unfortunately, the down side to the start of each New Year is the inevitable increase in costs for the riding school regarding insurance, rates etc. This year is no exception and we have been left with no choice but to increase all lesson prices by £2 except for Saturday Club which remains the same.
We have tried to provide lessons at off peak times at a reduced rate so as to provide alternative options and will continue to look at other schemes to help spread the cost.
Pony Club Mornings
This February half term we will be running two pony club mornings where riders off all ages and abilities will be given the opportunity to practise their riding and stable management skills with a view to earning themselves various badges and certificates at the end of the week.
Please see Shirley to book your child in.
The next Clear Round Jumping eves start on the 17th Feb and the schedule can be found on the events page. Also, Richard Waygood will be giving a jumping clinic on Friday 10th Feb so please book in plenty of time so as to secure a place. He will also be giving a lecture/demo on Saturday 3rd March at 7pm here at Barguse.
The flyer gives full details of how to book tickets with subsidised tickets available for BRC members.
Our popular dressage academy evenings will recommence on the 27th January at 6pm. These are always immensely popular so please book in advance at the office as we can only accommodate so many riders.
Our next unaffiliated dressage evenings will start on the 3rd Feb. The schedule will appear on the events page of our website in the next week. We do ask that riders enter in plenty of time as insufficient entries by the closing date will result in sadly having to cancel the competition.
We are launching special group sessions during the day for riders who wish to get back into riding, would like to learn a new hobby or just want to get fit! The cost is £20 for an hour’s session (3 riders or more) and this includes a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits at the end of the session! It’s your chance to make new friends and learn a little more about our sport. Different abilities will operate on different days so there is something to suit everyone. If you are interested please contact the office on 01208 831817 for times and to book. We will also be starting stable management lessons for riders during the day and it’s your chance to get hands on with the horse and learn about the welfare and handling of them. The cost is £15 for an hour’s session and this includes refreshments.
