The Spoilt Horse Company was set up in 2011 after noticing the lack of traditional tack shops in the area.
Located at Barguse Riding Centre, our aim is to provide products and gifts for both the horse and rider that suits all budgets. So whether you are a complete beginner who is looking to get kitted out with your first riding hat or a seasoned competitor looking for that particular show jacket, we stock it. If we don’t have it in store we can usually source it within 48 hours.

Beginner riders can take advantage of the various packages we offer and have peace of mind that the staff (all of whom are from an equine background) can assist in helping you choose the right item and more, importantly correctly fit them. For the more experienced horse owner, we stock a wide range of everyday essentials from your grooming brushes to your stud bungs!! If you fancy something a little unusual, we have a lovely range of crystal browbands and a variety of bridles to suit every taste.

For the serious competitor, we can offer a range of bespoke riding boots and show jackets from Gersemi, Konigs and Cavallo. If you would like a particular style of breech in a particular fabric (subject to seasonal changes) this can be ordered in. We also offer a range of gift items from beautiful belts to jewellery and bags.
We are open six days a week including late night openings on Wednesday and Thursday and also on show days.

Thursday: 9.00am – 7.00pm
Fri: 9.00am – 5.30pm
Saturday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
Sunday: Closed (except for competitions and other equine events)
N.B The shop will be open during our competitions and other equine events.

Directions

From the A30, at Innis Downs roundabout take the exit towards Bugle.
Take the next left (follow brown tourism sign for Barguse Riding Centre), followed by the first right, signed Luxulyan. Continue for approx ¾ mile. Barguse Riding Centre is signposted on right after “ The Laurels” and “Conce Farm”.
Follow tarmac drive and turn left at bottom of lane and follow the sign towards the arena and yard.
The Spoilt Horse Company is located on the right next to the riding centre.

From A391, go through Lockengate towards A30. On passing treseders nursery take next right by layby and then first right to Luxulyan, then follow directions as above.
